Import and sourcing planning tool

Landed Cost Calculator

Allocate a shipment’s supplier, freight, insurance, duties, receiving and other costs across its units. Then compare that estimated landed cost with a price and platform-fee rate you choose.

Shipment inputs (USD)

Formula: all entered shipment costs ÷ units. Margin includes the entered payment/platform fee only.

How the landed-cost calculation works

Total landed cost equals supplier price per unit multiplied by shipment units, plus every entered shipment-level cost. Landed cost per unit is that total divided by units. The displayed margin subtracts only the platform/payment fee calculated from your entered rate.

Costs to confirm outside this tool

This calculator does not classify goods, calculate duties, decide tax treatment, choose an Incoterm, convert currency or verify a freight quote. Check your supplier, carrier, broker and applicable authorities before you buy or import.

FAQ

Should duties be entered per unit or as a shipment total?

Enter the total amount you expect for the shipment. The calculator allocates it across the units automatically.

Does margin include advertising or fulfilment?

No. It includes only the landed cost and the payment/platform fee rate entered here. Add those costs when assessing the full selling scenario with the Amazon Profit Calculator.

What if a shipment has fewer sellable units?

Use the number of units you reasonably expect to be sellable, so allocated cost is not understated.
